1. Fully
managed secure data backup service
• We ensure the software is correctly installed and functioning
properly to meet your needs.
• Backups are checked each day to ensure they are good and up
to date. Appropriate action is taken to resolve any issues -including
site visits at no extra cost to the client. Client does not need to
check (not a tape drive at the end of a telephone line).
2. Archival
service -all versions of all files kept for a minimum of 2 years.
• Client is able to restore earlier versions of files if required.
• For databases this provides a verifiable audit trail of the
database over time that cannot be disputed as the files are encrypted.
• Useful for doctors, lawyers, reproducing historic accounts,
as an email archive etc.
3. The
latest version of every file backed up is always kept.
• If a file or folder is deleted most other backup services will
delete the files from their systems after a month or two. Consequently,
if the deletion was a mistake that is only discovered after some time,
the files are gone forever.
• We do not charge for storing data - only for its transmission
to and from us. This means we do not charge unless you are backing
up. This is a powerful incentive to ensure you are backing up regularly.
4. File
restoration support
• If you need to restore files the easiest way to do so is to
phone us
• We will lead you through the process quickly (no charge). You
do not need to learn how to do something you might only do once a
year.
• If you are not sure where your missing file is stored or its
exact name, we will search for you to help find it.
• If you need to restore a large amount of data we will provide
it on a removable hard drive to minimise the restore time.
5. Exchange
email, contacts and diary recovery
• Our Exchange secure data backup and recovery service allows
us to recover any items from an Exchange database for clients, without
having to mount the database in an Exchange server. Individual items
can be searched for, or whole mailboxes or folders can be recovered
from the latest database or earlier versions.
6. We control
our own data centre
• Because
we do not rely on an outside data centre to host our service and store
our data we have instant access to all files. This is particularly
important for large restores where a removable hard disk needs to
be sent directly to your site.
7. Transition
to alternative arrangements
• Should you decide to stop using our secure data backup service
(for whatever reason), we will keep your encrypted data for a minimum
of a year (no charge) in case you have problems with your new arrangements
and/or wish to restore older versions of files.
• We are a professional firm i.e the correct professional behaviour
in any situation standards trumps impact on revenue and profit.
